The Washington Parish Council on Aging is a non-profit corporation promoting the overall welfare and independence of persons sixty years and above in Washington Parish. The Council provides social services such as transportation, home-delivered meals, congregate meals, recreation and exercise. Other functions of the agency include coordinating and planning with other organizations and acting as an advocate for seniors. Washington Parish Public Transit offers demand-response and subscription transportation services on a non-emergency basis. Vehicle types include 12 passenger lift-equipped buses. Services are provided curb-to-curb.

Transportation services are limited to the following destinations only: Medical, Drug Store, Grocery Store, Bank. Trips will be limited to a maximum of 3 passengers per vehicle and one trip per week.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Governor's Executive Order, and concerns for the safety of our clients and employees, the Washington Parish Council on Aging has temporarily made changes and adjustments to service deliveries. We will be updating information as it becomes available.
